Update! I do not care!

Sorry but I don't really play much, mainly afk for pirate event. However, thought I'd post anyways because this is a pretty big update. I don't think I'll be interested in EO again like I was for some time. That big rollback and of course botting/lack of real moderation made me take a huge step away.

Update coming!

This update is a huge one. Has good and bad in it. Many upset about the bound cores/gear.

For casual players(like I have become) this is great, not so much for the grinders.

Finally, skills and magic

Finally skills and magic? This weekend we will be getting temporary skills and maybe magic too. Also PK. I'm excited but more curious than anything.

Don't forget to set your 24fps in game to test that out too!

Finally, more range!

Finally getting more range on bows, or at least one particular bow anyways. Still aweful but It's a start. Also closer to getting class skills etc.

Another content update

Yet another content update without key elements. He can keep on adding more areas, more mobs and bosses, keep messing with the lighting system so players feel like things are actually getting accomplished but he's just putting on new bandaids at this point.

Eodash/top list gone

Yes, the reasoning is stupid. When I came back after 8 months off I was like in the 3000s at level 37.

Ended up hitting level 70 and semi-retiring from training in the top 30s within just a few months.
There are quite a few players that did much better than that and were legit.

Vult is just once again listening to the crybabies. Also hiding the fact that botters are indeed the main reason why it is hard to compete as a legit player.

Should have kept a level cap and slowly increased it with each update like he was doing at first.

Dev post

I've realized Vult doesn't even really know what he's gonna do. I had hoped he had somewhat of a roadmap in his head at least but he's making it up as he goes along pretty much.

Still no classes, bow range, no way to hide armor/weapons, no player market place or auction house, no aoe, no magic. So many things missing still. Also bots and macros are running wild, especially training bots. It's pathetic.

Anyways, end of rant. To check out the latest dev post, click here.

Global shutdown-Call to action?

So global was shutdown for doxxing and the usual BS. I've been hearing a lot about people quitting and quite a few guilds doing a "call to action" of sorts, saying they will all quit unless some form of moderation is done.

I know some people think it's losing freedom of speech etc. But this is a gaming community, not real life. Like most games, there is some form of moderation, whether you like it or not. Harassing, bullying, stalking, doxxing etc. is not freedom of speech and something has to be done about it. We just have to wait and see what Vult does.

If anyone is chosen for mod, they would have to be unbiased as possible. Some names that have been mentioned are: Caler, Margi, myself, Pokemon, MisterX and Foggy but sadly she quit, partly do to some of this BS. I don't see Vult making anyone a mod though.

I didn't mention botting because Vult doesn't seem too concerned at the moment. Also, it's not so easy to tell when someone is botting(not always).

Will be interesting to see how the next few weeks play out.

Just a quick comment

I've gotta say, I like the additions of pets and other items that have been added since I left. Also noticed he has much more help in the customization department by many talented artist, well done.

For those that care

For those that care if I'm coming back or not, I'm not really sure. The constant level grind and lack of features are the main reasons I no longer play regularly. No, I'm not a narcissist lol. I keep getting asked if I'm coming back or if I'm going to check out this update etc. So my apologies for posts like this.

With this mini core system it might make a good difference, especially when going up against higher level players, so that's kind of a plus. I was against level cap at the start but most mmorpgs have a level cap for a reason and it makes sense. So EO without one is actually pretty bad unless certain systems are put in place to negate that, which I think the mini core system is a start.

Still, there comes a point when someone will be level 100 and most others will be 75 or lower, the level 100 would most likely have most advantages, you simply can not ignore that power imbalance and the mini core system alone won't do much for that issue. Which is why I think the whole "no level cap" is pointless and hypocritical in the long term. Sure you can make the argument that some players will always be more active and have more money, be higher level etc. but most mmorpgs have a level cap, as I mentioned and Vult being the only programmer is no excuse for no cap.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what I think honestly, he's gonna do what he sees fit to do. I gotta give him credit for listening to some of the players though, I just find that he listens to the wrong people most of the time. Crybabies seem to always get their way, which is what has happened since the start of the game.

Oh well, I have other things to play, which I have been, so whichever way this game goes, I'll be fine.

Update Sept. 2nd

I know you all just love it when I make my update opinion posts 😂 We are finally getting somewhere half decent but nowhere near where we should be. Hear me out.

Bow range is still shit, some crafts are still ridiculously hard, no good armor updates that give better stats, Octo should drop eons, still no classes or stat reset, no scrolls, we need more INNs and I'm sure there's more I could say about the negatives of the game.

Now the good. Now we at least have a few different bosses scattered around the world, some bosses drop weapons again+the crafting materials, this is great, more options the better I say, because we all like to play differently. We are finally starting to get more training areas for higher levels and slowly but surely seeing more cosmetic items.

Now my thoughts on the direction he's trying to go.

Vult is trying to use the excuse for the money drain by focusing on real life but this is a mistake, EO is not real life, we want and we are here to escape real life, so that is a mute point/argument. I understand that money drains are necessary so give us the old pot prices, or scrolls or something similarly useful. Then he goes on to make another excuse that he's trying to follow other mmos but other mmos usually do not listen to the minority crybabies that make up 10% of the gaming population. If this continues I believe most players will start to leave.

Obviously I want to see the game succeed, I just don't have high hopes for it in the long run unless some changes are made.

I'm disappointed, to say the least

I'm just highly disappointed in the way the game is going right now. Seems that everything is being built around crybabies and cheaters. Bow was nerfed because people cried about it being too hard to get kills, updates were delayed several times because of people doing dumb shit on global and people cried about it, parties got taken out because there was a bug or something allowing world wide exp sharing, I can understand fixing it but damn, he did too much. It's just ridiculous now. You can NOT build your game around cry babies and cheaters/exploiters without having way too many compromises.

I'm not saying don't stop cheaters/abusers etc. But he's trying to do too much in my opinion and yes, I realize this is a very basic testing period right now, it doesn't matter. There are going to be way too many issues throughout this game that he's not going to be able to deal with, without help from others. You can NOT please everyone, you can NOT stop all cheaters/exploiters, so this is when you bring in a moderation team or light guides that can jail/temp ban and report serious issues.

Allow fair Eo gamers to enjoy their grinding with full bow range, full map parties, classes, stat resets and so on without having to worry about being nerfed every update!

Sure I'll still play it but if this kind of thing keeps up, it's just not going to be fun anymore and players will start to go elsewhere.
