Sorry but I don't really play much, mainly afk for pirate event. However, thought I'd post anyways because this is a pretty big update. I don't think I'll be interested in EO again like I was for some time. That big rollback and of course botting/lack of real moderation made me take a huge step away.
This is the end of eo-guides. It shut down for the reasons we expected to. Lack of moderation. Sad times. For me, I haven't been training, just doing events. Eo is just not worth it right now in my opinion. The people of Eo-guides did a great job, put in hard work and helped lots of people. It will be missed. Not sure how Vult can continue letting these bots take over. Whether it be constant chat spam, resource or leveling bots, they are bad and need to stop.
Grinded my ass off to get to 94 just to be passed up by bots. It's tiring. This is not news I know, it's now typical and ridiculous that it's consider the norm now. We just have to deal with it because Vult refuses to do anything serious about it because "this is a test".
As some of you know, I have been tempted a few times to bot myself but just could not bring myself to do it. I have even had people offer me help doing it. So it's not like I don't know how, it just doesn't feel right to me. There is no excuse, period. What's even worse is the ones that do it but deny it. We're not stupid, if you are botting, most people know you are doing it. It's just hilarious.
At the end of the day though, this is just a game, in the testing phase that will eventually be wiped(it will have to be if it's gonna be officially released ever) so I'll just chill and play the way I wanna play and do my best to ignore Vult's weak moderation. Yes Shadow Guild is a start but far too late really. We've already lost a ton of players that I'm not sure if they'd ever come back now.
Not sure what's going on exactly but this is quite strange.
I've heard it could be a bankbob glitch where you get more eons back than what you put in and also heard it was players passing eons and items etc. to other characters because they were afraid of the botting reset Vult has planned soon. A least from screenshots I have seen, that is what I assume he meant.
Only time will tell if he actually goes through with it. I have my doubts.
I'm not back to regular play, just hopped on to see the event and do the new quests. I won't be doing the event, I'm just not interested in the rewards. It's not a bad event, just not for me but I see the majority excited for it, so more power to you.
I see that speeding is back, or perhaps it never got fixed like the admins thought. This is based on hearsay but quite a lot of players have stated it so I believe it.
The server lag is much better, even though my ping is still up 50% more, the lag spikes themselves seem more rare. So there are some good things going on.
I wasn't going to make this post because I didn't really see it as relevant but it certainly is.
I'm so tired of mindlessly grinding thousands of mobs in a game that is already up to level 40 and considered to be mid-game, yet we are still on new player armor, bows still stuck at shitty 1 tile range, no classes, stat reset only on some weekends, no scrolls, pots hard to come by and so many other things wrong and or missing from the game.
I have to force myself daily to grind or even login some days. If this was a private server I wouldn't be playing it.
I hit level 37 yesterday, to hit 38 I have to kill 2077 mobs at 270 exp. To hit cap, I'd have to kill over 8000 mobs easily. Think about that for a moment. Not even Conquer Online was this grindy. CO was known as one of the grindiest games you could play back in the day, just to give an idea. If only we had other ways to grind for exp. Exp for crafting, more exp for gathering and mining. There could be so many.
I know I don't have to train or hit cap, no one is making me, I don't mind a good grind, when there is reasons for that grind but there's not much incentive to do it right now in my opinion except for the leaderboard and to compete for boss drops. At 37 I am more than capable to compete until next update and who knows how that's gonna be? More of the same, no doubt about it. Same stupid bow range, noob ass armor and thousands of mobs to grind for hours. The "Endless" loop as I call it. There is a reason the player base has dwindled so much and there's only around 200 max playing. Plus, if you count alts, you could drop 25% off that or so and get closer to the actual real count.
Also, Vult needs to start banning cheaters and exploiters, or at the very least, jail or punish them by taking away exp/eons or something. The latest exploit allowed some players a boost in stats that made it much easier to kill mobs and bosses but I know nothing will be done to those players. It's sickening. It makes everything seem so pointless when cheaters are just let go after us normal players worked our asses off for everything we've got and did it fairly. He shows way too much leniency even at this point in testing.
I've made my mind up, I'll play till next update but if things don't change for the better, I'm out. I just can't continue this as is.
If you are going to speed at least own it. I see so many doing it and while it's not as fast as it used to be you can still tell very easily.

I'm just highly disappointed in the way the game is going right now. Seems that everything is being built around crybabies and cheaters. Bow was nerfed because people cried about it being too hard to get kills, updates were delayed several times because of people doing dumb shit on global and people cried about it, parties got taken out because there was a bug or something allowing world wide exp sharing, I can understand fixing it but damn, he did too much. It's just ridiculous now. You can NOT build your game around cry babies and cheaters/exploiters without having way too many compromises.
I'm not saying don't stop cheaters/abusers etc. But he's trying to do too much in my opinion and yes, I realize this is a very basic testing period right now, it doesn't matter. There are going to be way too many issues throughout this game that he's not going to be able to deal with, without help from others. You can NOT please everyone, you can NOT stop all cheaters/exploiters, so this is when you bring in a moderation team or light guides that can jail/temp ban and report serious issues.
Allow fair Eo gamers to enjoy their grinding with full bow range, full map parties, classes, stat resets and so on without having to worry about being nerfed every update!
Sure I'll still play it but if this kind of thing keeps up, it's just not going to be fun anymore and players will start to go elsewhere.
So, for the most part, speeding is fixed. Still possible but players that do so end up disconnecting after a few seconds from what I understand.
Now Vult is working on a global chat filter after all the crap that gets talked about on a daily basis, which I think it's just a waste of time. But hey, it is what it is.
I hope we get some new content soon, along with parties.
Well, it seems updates may be on hold so Vult-r can fix the speeding issues. This is what I am hearing. So, thank you speeders, once again you have messed things up for the rest of us. Never fails does it? This time around though, most of you are grown adults now, still doing the same shit you did back when you were teens. Damn, that is just sad. I sure hope we can get past all this and move forward in the future with some updates.
